Welding and Surface Cleaning Spray

OPTINOX B 300S removes welding and heat treatment stains, oxidation, pitting, light dirt, and oil from stainless steel surfaces in a single process, preparing the surface for passivation. It is suitable for cold-drawn AISI 304, 316, and 321 and its derivatives.
The surface of stainless steel materials is protected against corrosion, pitting, and rust by a thin passive layer rich in chromium oxide, which naturally forms on the surface under suitable conditions. This passive layer forms only on clean surfaces containing sufficient chromium in the alloy and in environments containing sufficient oxygen.
The resulting passive chromium oxide layer is self-repairing under normal conditions, even if the surface is subjected to mechanical damage.
Heat and mechanical processes such as welding, cutting, drilling, cutting, cutting, bending, drawing, and shaping damage this layer. This corrosion-resistant passive layer must be regenerated.
To regenerate the passive layer, weld stains and contamination must be completely removed from the surface using chemical methods.
OPTINOX B series etch products guarantee the formation of a passive layer.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
OPTINOX B 300S removes heavy dirt and oil from the surface with OPTINOX SURFACE. Mix the contents of the OPTINOX B 300S canister until homogeneous. Spray the mixture onto the surface with a hand sprayer or a compressed air pump. After the reaction time (the surface turns green), rinse with clean water at 100–150 bar pressure. Allow to dry naturally. Do not touch.

Caution: Do not apply in sunlight. Do not apply to very hot surfaces (+25°C). The ideal application temperature is 15–20°C. Extend the application time in cold weather.

DOUBLE USE
Reaction Time: 45–90 minutes (at 20°C). Consumption: 4–6 m²/kg.
