Wax Based Anti-Corrosion Dry Film Hardening

OPTICOAT® DWOur , series products are light brown colored, wax based, solvent carrier, highly effective waxy protective products, used to prevent sensitive equipment and metals from corroding and rusting under the influence of air and water in environments with intense corrosive effects.

Especially in the protection of metal equipment, engines and engine parts, sheets, machines, all kinds of parts made of metal, during land and sea transportation, and in long-term storage in closed and open areas;

It is very effective in protecting Drill Pipes, drill collars, mud skip baskets, tools and other equipment in oil exploration applications against moisture and corrosion.

It is very effective in preparing machines and agricultural machinery that will remain in open areas for winter, and in protecting open structural steel, overhead crane rails, conveyor systems and loading dock equipment against corrosion.

They provide effective long-term protection on painted and unpainted steel, stainless, bronze, aluminum and metal surfaces.

OPTICOAT® DWOur , series products provide protection from 6 months to 10 years in outdoor conditions, depending on the product type.

They protect the surface by creating a highly active, elastic and strong film layer on the metal surface.

They provide excellent lubrication and corrosion protection on many surfaces such as film, cold-rolled and galvanized steels and aluminums (including copper-containing alloys).

It is widely used in steel and aluminum applications in the automotive industry.

Thanks to their viscosity, rolling and spraying can be done.

They provide excellent film control with electrostatic spraying.

They are solvent based and ready to use.

They can be cleaned from the surface with simple cleaning solvents.

They are highly water repellent and chemically inert.

APPLICATION

OPTICOAT® DW,Our series products,They can be applied to surfaces by wiping, brushing, dipping, spraying with air, airless and air mix guns.
Make sure the surface to be coated is clean, free of grease and dry.
Before application, the protective film micron thickness can be adjusted by mixing the product viscosity depending on the condition of the surface or by adding 10-20% synthetic thinner if the viscosity is high for spray application.
Wait at least 20 - 30 minutes before applying an additional coat to make the protection surfaces thicker.

CLEANING FROM THE SURFACE

OPTICOAT® DW,Our series products are special wax type corrosion protection coating.
OPTICOAT® DW,Our series products can be safely cleaned from the surface with aliphatic or aromatic petroleum-derived solvents or all mineral-derived solvents, synthetic thinners, low pressure steam and hot alkaline baths.

  1. If cleaning is desired without brushing or rubbing by dipping method, the materials to be cleaned should be kept in the solvent for a sufficient time.
  2. Surface coatings can be removed using any non-corrosive alkaline degreaser.
  3. Surface coatings can be removed with a hot water spray gun (water temperature greater than 85 °C).
  4. Can be removed with a water spray gun (water temperature must be warm or above 45°C and the water spray gun must operate at a minimum of 40 psi).
